A rich text editor that also lets you embed HTML code for precise formatting.
Overview
CNX Rich Text gives authors a familiar rich text editor with an important extra: the option to embed HTML code. Use the editor for everyday content, and add HTML when you need precise control over structure and formatting.
It's ideal for content the standard Text web part can't format the way you need, such as custom layouts, callouts or carefully structured tables.

Configuration
Configure CNX Rich Text in the property pane: with the page in edit mode, select the web part, then select Edit web part (the pencil icon).

Usage
Once the package is deployed to your tenant, add CNX Rich Text to a modern SharePoint page:
Open the page and select Edit.
Hover where you want the web part to appear and select the + (Add a new web part) button.
Search for CNX Rich Text and select it.
Write your content in the editor, and add HTML code where you need precise formatting.
Select Republish to share your changes.
Examples
Policy summary
Lay out a policy summary with custom headings, callouts and a structured table.
Branded callout
Create a reusable callout box that matches your organization's visual style.
Best practices
- Use semantic HTML (headings, lists and tables with header cells) so content stays accessible to screen reader users.
- Keep text and background colours at WCAG AA contrast levels when you style content.
- Only use HTML from sources you trust, and review the page after you publish it.
